Points shared at the Stafflex
A bobbly pitch caused havoc in what could have been a great game between two good footballing sides.
The draw sits Town fourth, with the gap remaining four points behind 3rd place Chorley.
First Half
Town started the game, with a good chance just after the ten-minute mark. Rebecca Beresford whipped in a great ball but Yas Mason could only poke the ball just over the ball.
Both sides struggled to get going though with the playing surface far from ideal for two sides wanting to get the ball down and play football.
Chorley did have a chance to break away in the 25th minute, but Bethany Ibbotson slid in and brought the attack to an end as the last defender with one of the last real moments to talk about in a quiet half of football.

Second Half
It was the visitors that started the second 45 strongest, with the ball worked well down the left, with a dangerous delivery leading to Ibbotson again needed to save the day, as she was on hand to block the ball as it went out for a corner.
Just before the hour Autumn Housley played a great ball down the line before some good work from Serena Fletcher lead to a decent cut back. Chorley were able to deal with it with ease though to keep the deadlock intact.
Town did have a big chance to open the scoring, with Katie Astle able to flick the ball to Mason who powered past the defence. Chorley defenders looked to have dealt with the attack but Mason won the ball back before firing over the bar.
Chorley had a chance of their own with Kacey Bolton-Woollam doing well to tip it around her near post.
The game was starting to get going with Chorley very nearly taking the lead, but Serena Fletcher was able to clear of the line. Just moments later Bolton-Woollam was called into action again, making another big save with Town hanging on by the skin of their teeth.
With just ten minutes left, Town almost got their goal, with Astle getting in behind the Chorley defence and putting it across goal to Fletcher, whose scuffed effort went wide.
In the dying embers it was Chorley that almost stole it, a free kick was put in with the ball headed to the far post but the angle was too tight for the Chorley player to find the back of the net.
