The first team progressed to their 10th consecutive County Cup final with, in the end, a convincing 5-0 win over Handsworth Ladies.
Handsworth worked hard and frustrated Town for most of the first half, although some poor decision making in the final third also contributed to Towns frustrations.
Town created chance after chance but could not find the net. The breakthrough came just a minute before the break when Towns most active attacking player Feiruz Abdullahi beat the Handsworth keeper.
The home side lead 1-0 at the break.Ten minutes into to second half and Abdullahi was upended in the box. She took the spot kick herself but was twice denied by the excellent Handsworth keeper.
Fresh legs were introduced on the hour mark and Yasmin Mason made an almost immediate impact, scoring 2 quick goals in the 70th and 75th minutes.
Further goals from Caz Simone and Aisha Nsangou wrapped up the game for Town and they’ll play a repeat of last years final when they take on Doncaster Rovers Belles at the end of April.
