Town looking to make it back-to-back wins
Huddersfield Town Women’s will be looking to have a repeat of last week’s result when they travel to bottom of the table Fylde.
Glen Preston’s side managed to secure an impressive 2-1 win against West Yorkshire rivals Leeds United at The Stafflex last weekend; Katie Astle scoring a brace in the process.
Town hosted Fylde in the reverse fixture back in December, coming out 6-1 winners.
Team News
Town should be with a fully fit squad, picking up no known injuries during the Leeds game.
The Opposition
The hosts Fylde haven’t managed a win since back in October, beating Doncaster 1-0.
They boast one of the worst defensive records in the division, conceding 51 goals so far this season. With the outcome of the reverse fixture, we could have another goal-fest on our hands.
Despite all of this, Fylde have managed to pick up two decent results in there latest outings; managing to hold promotion hopefuls Middlesborough to a 1-1 draw last time out.
Final Conclusions
Town haven’t really had a bad performance in the recent games, but haven’t always been able to see out a result.
Last weeks result against Leeds showed what the side are capable of and should be used as a building point for the remainder of the season.
The squad should be full of confidence and will be hopeful of a routine win for Preston and his team.
The game kicks off at 2:00pm on Sunday 9th March at Kellamergh Park.
