Town women host fourth in the league Liverpool Feds this weekend. The Terrier women are struggling to get points at the moment and languish in the relegation zone. Liverpool Feds are one game in hand on the league leaders, but have fallen short in the last few games.
Huddersfield Women will try to capitalise on this. Feds lost their last game, and drew the one previous to that. The Women Terriers have won one of their last five matches and really need the points.
Huddersfield Town Women have games in hand, but need to start getting wins if they are to move out of the relegation zone. Last weeks home fixture against West Brom showed that the team is fighting hard. A very unlucky result, which saw Huddersfield Town Women play well but come up just a little short. Performances like that should help the Women Terriers going forward, as they do have some games in hand.
Huddersfield Town Women are nine points behind 10th place Stourbridge FC and have two games in hand. A win on Sunday will narrow that gap and put the pressure on opponents who will want to keep winning to keep the gap.
The Terrier Women are showing fight, and that can only bode well. Another home game with the home fans getting behind them will be good. A win is a must, a draw would be acceptable but points are important.
